Nodes are located at the positions of Ca atoms (for amino acids) and P, C4’ and C2 atoms (for nucleotides). The nodes are connected by elastic springs if they are within cutoff distance of 7.3 Å for GNM.

The amino acid pairs connections are colored light gray, those between nucleotide pairs are yellow, and inter amino acid - nucleotide pairs are cyan.

                     C(i, j)
Each point may represent multiple nodes if the structure has 500+ nodes.
